Bacterial Vaginosis occurs when there are more “bad” bacteria than the normal one in the vagina.
The normal bacteria is called Lactobacillus – a member of the lactic acid bacteria group.
The bad bacteria can be of many types. Among them you can find Bacteroides , Gardnerella vaginalis , Mobiluncus and Mycoplasma hominis
