Abnormal vaginal discharge

In case of vaginal infection or hormonal imbalance there is abnormal vaginal discharge. Some symptoms of abnormal vaginal discharge are the following:
Color of the vaginal discharge: The normal color of the vaginal discharge changes during vaginal infection. While the normal color is usually whitish, in abnormal condition, the color may be blackish, yellowish or even reddish.
Increased discharge: There is an increase in the vaginal discharge. In normal condition, the vaginal discharge is limited to a certain level. During infection, it increases abruptly. Abnormal vaginal condition is often accompanied by itching and discomfort. There may be rash or even pain during vaginal infection (abnormal condition).
Foul smell and bleeding: The abnormal vaginal discharge is usually foul smelling. It is often a fishy smelling substance and looks like cottage cheese. There may be one or two drops of blood in the vaginal discharge. Blood comes out even when you are not menstruating. This is the commonest symptom of vaginal infection.
Trichomoniasis: Trichomoniasis is a common vaginal abnormality which is caused due to yeast infection. During this condition, there may be yellowish or grayish discharge. It may or may not be accompanied by pain. There may be occasional itching and burning sensation.
Bacterial vaginosis treatment can cure abnormal vaginal discharge.
